No, our flight plans don’t offer trip cancellation or travel delay coverage. These plans are designed to assist with unexpected events that occur while you’re in the sky, plus some additional benefits on Flight Insure Plus that apply to the rest of your trip.

Want trip cancellation coverage? Our more comprehensive plans — Ultimate, Advantage, and Essential — do offer trip cancellation benefits, along with trip interruption and travel delay coverage. If you have one of these plans and need to cancel your trip for eligible reasons like illness or injury, we can reimburse you for your prepaid, nonrefundable trip costs.

Our Flight Insure Plus plan does offer missed connection insurance. If you miss a connecting flight or cruise for an eligible reason, such as a documented traffic accident on the way to the airport or a flight delay of three hours or more, we’re here to help.

Our travel insurance for missed connections can help with additional costs like a hotel stay, meals, and payments for unused travel arrangements. This helps manage the financial impact of a missed connection so you can focus on getting to your destination.

If you choose our Flight Insure plan, you won’t have coverage for missed connections.

Yes, our Flight Insure Plus plan can help if your baggage takes its own vacation — with baggage delay insurance and coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

If your bags are delayed, Flight Insure Plus offers up to $500 to purchase necessary personal items such as clothing and toiletries while you wait for your belongings.

If your stuff is permanently lost, stolen, or damaged, the plan offers up to $1,000 total (with a $250 per-item limit) to help replace your items.

Remember, these benefits are available with our Flight Insure Plus plan only; our Flight Insure plan only offers our accidental death for air travel benefit.

Yes, you can get flight insurance during pregnancy! But if you’re looking for pregnancy-specific medical benefits, it’s important to understand the specific coverage restrictions and conditions.

We don’t offer coverage for pregnancy without complications or childbirth, so keep that in mind before you fly, common pregnancy-related issues like morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, preeclampsia, or physician-ordered bed rest are not classified as complications under our coverage.

However, we may offer coverage if you have a pregnancy complication and need medical care. Complications that are eligible for coverage are conditions that are separate from but worsened or caused by pregnancy, such as nephrosis.
